Oxford University – Vice Chair for Research for a new UN Impact Hub

The University of Oxford has been appointed as Vice Chair for Research for the United Nations Academic Impact (UNAI) Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 16 for the next two years.

This is a significant achievement – the result of a collaboration led by Department of Politics and International Relation’s, Ed Brooks, co-founder of the Oxford SDG Impact Lab that enables graduate students to engage in research with organisations across sectors to advance the SDGs. An SDG Impact Fund, supported by our Social Sciences Division, facilitates external collaboration and knowledge exchange.

This appointment recognises researchers across the university – committed to advancing the SDGs locally and globally through research, education, and strategic partnerships.

Researchers in our Department of Politics and International Relations, and across the University, will continue to lead collaborative initiatives focused on SDG 16, working with partners including the UN Secretariat, UN agencies, funds, and programmes.
