Centre for International Studies
The Centre for International Studies (CIS) aims to support research in International Relations at Oxford and beyond.
Since its establishment in 1992, CIS has worked hard to build a reputation for excellence. We have become a hub for expert knowledge, with projects supported by internal and external funding. Every year, we hold a number of events to disseminate our research and engage with new knowledge in the field. We have been working closely with governmental bodies, non-governmental organisations (NGOs), and the private sector to put the conclusions of our research into practice.
Alongside this work, we collaborate with groups in and outside of Oxford, including the European Studies Centre, the Global Economic Governance Programme, and the Department of International Development. We support the development of graduate students through the support of graduate workshops, our patronage of the STAIR Review and other societies.
