Centre for International Studies
The Centre for International Studies (CIS) aims to support research in International Relations at Oxford and beyond.
Since its establishment in 1992, CIS has worked hard to build a reputation for research excellence and as intellectual exchange facilitator. We have become a hub for expert knowledge, with projects supported by internal and external funding. Every year, we hold a number of events – for instance book launches, roundtables and research seminars - to disseminate our research and engage with new knowledge in the field. CIS welcomes applications for visitors and research associates willing to participate in our community and collaborate with our members (please contact us if you are interested in collaborating with CIS). We have been working closely with governmental bodies, international organizations (IOs), non-governmental organisations (NGOs), and the private sector to put the conclusions of our research into practice.
Alongside this work, we collaborate with several research groups in and outside of Oxford. We support the development of graduate students through the support of graduate workshops, our patronage of the STAIR Review and other graduate students societies.
