Oxford Centre for International Studies
The Centre for International Studies (CIS) aims to support research in International Relations at Oxford.
Since its establishment in 1992, CIS has built a reputation for research excellence and as a facilitator of intellectual exchange. It has become a hub for expert knowledge, with projects supported by internal and external funding. Each year we organise a number of lectures, seminars, and conferences on topics germane to the study of world politics. We also work closely with governmental bodies, non-governmental organisations (NGOs), and the private sector to disseminate the practical findings of our research.
Alongside our events and research, we collaborate with groups in and outside of Oxford, including the European Studies Centre, the Global Economic Governance Programme, and the Department of International Development. We support the development of graduate students through the support of graduate workshops, our patronage of the STAIR Review and other societies.
